About SlyGuy
It started at a mall kiosk.
Not with a business plan. Not with investors. With a hat idea that was probably too inappropriate to wear in public — and the curiosity to find out anyway.
The first hats were made for one person: me. Designs that lived in the space between clever and questionable. The kind of thing you put on and wait. Wait for someone to read it. Wait for the double take. Wait for the moment they get it — and can't decide whether to laugh or look away.
Most of them laughed.
Some didn't.
I kept making hats.
Then came the teacher meeting.
My daughter's elementary school. Parent-teacher conference. I walked in wearing one of my own hats — not because I forgot what it said, but because I genuinely didn't think about it.
Her teacher noticed. Didn't say anything. Just looked.
That was the moment I knew these had to exist for other people.
SlyGuy is built for the dad at his kid's soccer game who still thinks he's funny. For the college student who wants a hat that says something without explaining itself. For anyone who's ever looked at a hat and thought — wait, does that say what I think it says?
That's the whole game. Premium hats. Subtle humor. A delayed reaction.
The designs aren't loud. They don't announce themselves. They wait — like the kid on our logo — hands in his pocket, that look in his eye — like he knows something you don't.
That kid, by the way, is based on my son.
He has no idea what most of the hats say.
He will someday.
Bad Decisions, Great Hats.
